En el año 1945 siendo Alcalde de Hervas D.Manuel Alvarez se tomo el acuerdo el concejo de crear un parque con multitud variadisima flores.
En un informe del ministerio de Agricultura figura este parque si no como el de mayor extensión si como el de mayor belleza.
